Ubuntu – Recover Root Password


  1. Press LEFT SHIFT on boot
  2. Select RECOVERY MODE (2nd entry)
  3. Select ROOT/NETROOT
  4. mount -rw -o remount /
  5. passwd USERNAME
    eg: passwd joe

REBOOT
